Light to Night 2026

Artworks do not need to just stay within the four walls of a museum. National Gallery invites you to see past it.

Role: Creative & Director

Having worked with National Gallery Singapore on the Light to Night Festival the year before, we returned with an established relationship and one thing left undone: the previous timeline hadn't allowed for a full-length documentary. With a festival theme of "The Power in Us", I wanted the film to centre on the people behind it, so it features both Gallery staff and the artists.

"The Power in Us" was at work before the festival even opened. Our first two pieces were a teaser video and a timelapse process video of students coming together to become part of one of the artworks, the theme in action before a single visitor arrived.

From there, I led creative direction across a full-length documentary, artist spotlight videos, and the festival's opening and closing videos. Across all of them, we kept the approach grounded, putting real people and real process on camera so the art felt accessible on screen for both socials and digital.
