Working with my co-director, I brought in my experience of what it is like having a meal as a family and the significance of the dinner table. It was not just about the food, but also the people around me, and for me, it was Saturday dinners at my grandparents' growing up. 

That then became the film. The cooking for family, the shared plates, the last piece pushed into someone else's bowl, nobody getting up until the talking is done.
